Michigan has historically been a strong state year in and year out when it comes to developing and producing Division I-level place-kickers and punters. In the 2015 season, for instance, Michigan had the nation's No. 1-ranked kicker in Rockford's Quinn Nordin (Class of 2016, signed with U-M). From NFL All-Pro/Pro Bowl kickers Pete Stoyanovich (Dearborn Heights Crestwood, Indiana), Ralf Mojsiejenko (Bridgman, MSU, son Cooper is CMU's punter) and Chester Marcol (Imlay City, Hillsdale College) to current standouts Kenny Allen (Fenton, U-M, NFL Baltimore Ravens), Kyle Bambard (Walled Lake Western, North Carolina State) and the late Mike Sadler (Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern, MSU) the Great Lakes State has churned out its fair share of D-I level kickers.
